So, “zedstarr” eh? What’s that about you may ask… Wikisplain Z*. Zed star. Zedstarr. Of course it is. Told you it was real. Well, imaginary. Well…. oh never mind.
“Alma Mater” ???
So today I got to visit my “alma mater” – not a phrase I feel comfortable using, turns out it’s a (Latin) American English term, less so useful/used in British English – so what I really mean is I visited my old university. I have an alumni library membership, so thought I’d pop in, forContinue reading ““Alma Mater” ???”

Winamp on Android – it’s like being back in 1997!

The van didn’t, so the officer stepped closer to address the driver. But there was no driver. The van is an autonomous vehicle developed at the University of Parma’sContinue reading “IEEE Spectrum: Autonomous Vehicle Driving from Italy to China”

Don’t you just hate those “hardhearted tramplers”? Get them of that grass!
Sign on the grass by the side of the Olympic Stadium, Beijing.
Camera killer – moral: don’t give your camera to a drunk bloke…
1HAK10720AAA – a (synchronised) blast from the past…
Getting all nostalgic, a brace of 1HAK10720AAA & 1HAK10729AAU for you…
Journey to the office: sunshine, Bob Marley on the ipod and views like this…
That's just the view for the last few miles though… the first 180-ish miles of M6/M5 don't look so good!

I am an international roving cheese-spread reporter….
I've now eaten my own body-weight in "cheese". I say "cheese" because this is American cheese, so therefore not proper cheese, like English or French cheese. It even says on the packet that it doesn't contain any rBST (a growth hormone they force-feed the dairy cattle) which is nice. Just realised the white tubs ofContinue reading “I am an international roving cheese-spread reporter….”
